What is a disciple? Technically, it is "a disciplined learner". In regards to Jesus, a disciplined learner of Him. We often want to get right to administering the gifts of the Spirit and define that as a "disciple of Jesus". While that is certainly included, it's not the first thing. Jesus says that to be a disciple of His, you have to learn of His Cross, and what He did for you there. In this episode, we'll take text from Luke 9:22-23 and Luke 14:27-35. I think you'll be blessed and a little more free when we brake down some otherwise hard to understand scriptures.

When our heart condemns us, we often tend to "hide" from God, like Adam and Eve did when they fell short. We as believers need to know our provision for falling short is still in the Cross of Christ. If we keep our faith (trust) there, instead of in ourselves, we won't experience condemnation. Therefore, we will have confidence towards Him, and stay in relationship.

In part two of this series, we'll see how sowing to the Spirit is actually as simple as trusting in the sacrifice of Christ, or the cross. Obeying the Truth, Jesus Christ and Him crucified, is how we received the Spirit, how we walk in the Spirit, and how we receive the things of the Spirit. Hence, we reap "Life everlasting".

Taking the text from Galatians 6:8, we'll talk about how to "sow" to the flesh in part one of this series, with part two discussing how to "sow" to the Spirit. Most would probably think that sowing to the flesh is "committing sin". We'll see how that sowing to the flesh is actually trusting in our own will power to live for God, which intern serves law, which is the strength of sin, hence we reap corruption... This is a real eye opener!

Paul, we've already heard about the Cross, why are you preaching that again? To cause us to have a greater dependency on it. We can daily manifest our own "righteousness", or we can daily manifest the righteousness of God. This is Paul's communication as he points us back to the Cross as the "faith" that the just shall LIVE by. (Romans 1:16-17)

Do the promises of God just automatically take us over? If they do, it would be evident in ALL believers lives. The fact is, there's a way to "walk" in Christ, and a way not to. Every promise of God is yes and amen, IN Christ. In this session, we'll learn from Colossians 2:6-7 how to "walk" in Christ, which is the key to receiving, rooting and grounding ourselves, and super-abounding in Him.
